  1. Kind of bizarre; a previously single-family-home low density style neighborhood surrounded by medium-rise office buildings all around it.

    I can’t understand the obsession with density, even in places like Utah where it’s less liberal and has more growing space than many other western US cities. Some density in places works well, but the overall obsession in some places (like Portland) is killing the neighborhoods; I only hope Sandy and SLC don’t let it get that bad. There are plenty who still strongly prefer low density suburban style development, you know?
